Hi, I'm Alex, otherwise known as GrumpyChap, a solo creator using AI to help make apps which are useful to me, and hopefully others. I built Rollover to help me manage daily tasks to suit my way of working, and I hope this concept is useful to you too.

What makes Rollover different from other to‑do apps?
Rollover was created to make daily task management simple. At its heart is a single daily task list. Completed tasks move to the Completed Tasks list. Unfinished tasks roll over to the next day.

And that's it.

Everything else in Rollover is designed to support that simple daily workflow, not complicate it.
Why did you make Rollover?
I find that most task management apps over complicate things with folders, task-types and scheduling. I wanted something which reflected the way I approach my daily list of to-dos. I wanted to manage one simple list, allowing me to easily tick of completed tasks, and for tasks I don't manage to get through to rollover to the next day, allowing me to pick up from where I left off.

Of course, I needed more than that. I wanted to sometimes categories tasks, I wanted to sometimes schedule tasks, but I wanted these to be easy to use without interfearing with the core idea.

I couldn't find an app which reflected my workflow, so I built it myself. I use Rollover daily and find it perfect for the way I work, and I hope you will too.

Is Rollover free?
Yes, the core features of Rollover are free to use forever. Additional features are available with the Rollover Plus one time purchase.
What is Rollover Plus?
Rollover Plus is a premium tier (available as a one time purchase) which adds the following features:

  • Schedule tasks by time and set reminders
  • Create and organise sub-tasks
  • Categorise and filter tasks using labels
  • Customise your own colour themes
Are tasks stored locally or in the cloud?
Tasks are stored locally on your device. Rollover does not yet sync with any cloud service. However, a premium tier is planned for the future which will enable tasks to be synced across devices.
What devices is Rollover available on?
The first release is available for iPhone and iPad, which can also be used on Silicon Macs. A web based app and Android app are planned for the near future.
Can I reorder or reschedule tasks?
Absolutely. Drag‑and‑drop to reorder. Move items between days or schedule into the future when you need to plan ahead. With the Rollover Plus premium tier, you can also schedule tasks by time and set reminders.
Is Rollover made by a company?
Nope. Rollover is made by me, a solo creator, and I would love to hear from you with your feedback, ideas and suggestions.
